What Is 'Someone Stop Her!'? The Manhwa Explained
Someone Stop Her! (담배피지 마세요!) is a Toomics-exclusive adult comedy-romance manhwa about a quiet guy, his intimidating smoking neighbor, and the chaos that follows.
Someone Stop Her! is one of those manhwa titles that tells you exactly what kind of ride you are in for. The Korean title, 담배피지 마세요!, literally means "Don't Smoke!" — and the international title is basically the main character's daily prayer.
The basics
It is a full-color Korean webtoon (manhwa) written by AA with art by Momobird, serialized exclusively on Toomics since September 20, 2024. New chapters come out weekly, and the series is still ongoing with well past 100 chapters. Genre-wise it sits in adult comedy-romance with a seinen edge: funny first, dramatic second, romantic third.
The premise in one paragraph
Gangchan is a short, soft-spoken guy who gets pushed around at work and just wants his apartment to stay his quiet little paradise. Then his neighbor — Na Se-young, a tough-looking, chain-smoking woman with a gangster aura — and her housemates crash into his life and basically never leave. He went over to complain about the smoke; he stayed for the chaos. If you want the fuller version without big spoilers, our story overview goes deeper.
Why people read it
Three things carry the series. First, the comedy lands — the humor comes from personality clashes, not cheap gags. Second, the art is modern and expressive, with the cigarette-smoke motif woven through almost every chapter. Third, underneath the jokes there is a real story about lonely people accidentally becoming a found family. Readers who stick around for the laughs stay for the characters; the character guide introduces the whole household.
Is it for you?
It is an 18+ series with mature content, so it is strictly for adult readers. If you like chaotic roommate comedies, strong heroines, and slow-burn romance with actual character growth, this is an easy recommendation. If you prefer plot-driven fantasy or action, look elsewhere.
Where to read
Toomics is the only official English source — it is a platform exclusive, so you will not find it legally on Webtoon, Lezhin, or Tappytoon. Our where-to-read guide walks through how Toomics works and what it costs.
